COMPANY
Speedier Scaffolding Limited
was formed in 1982 as a subsidiary of Allen plc and
has traded successfully as a scaffolding business ever
since. The present
management team was appointed in 1995, and in 2000 bought
the company in a management buy-out. Under the
direction of this experienced team Speedier Scaffolding
has grown consistently to become one of the largest independent scaffolding companies in the United Kingdom.

Management Team
The senior management team of Speedier Scaffolding
comprises:
John Bate - Managing Director
Mr. Bate started in the scaffolding industry in 1981. He has worked for all the major scaffolding Companies as both scaffolder and through various levels of management.
He attained his advanced scaffolding qualification whilst working for GKN.Kwikform, achieving maximum pass marks in his trainee, basic and advance course.
As well as obtaining his qualification as a scaffolder he also attained a B.A.(Hons.) degree in business and financial studies and a distinction in his Nebosh Safety Certificate.
Steve Clough - Operations Director
Mr Clough started in the scaffolding industry in 1978. He has worked for many of the major scaffolding companies as a scaffolder,
advanced scaffolder and through various levels of management.
He has managed many major contracts, including the Exchange station refurbishment in Liverpool and new stands at both Blackburn
Rovers and Liverpool football clubs.
He has been with Speedier Scaffolding Ltd since 2003.
Ian Roberts - Estimating Director
Mr Roberts started working in the scaffolding industry in 1981. He has worked as a scaffolder and through various levels of management.
He has managed many major projects within the North of England including Garth Prison Leyland and NEC Birmingham.
He joined Speedier Scaffolding Ltd in 1997.
John Waugh - Surveying Director
Mr Waugh started in the scaffolding industry in 1978. He has worked for some of the major scaffolding companies as both a scaffolder,
advanced scaffolder and in various levels of management.
He joined Speedier Scaffolding Ltd in 2005.
Samantha Siddall - Finance Director
Mrs Siddall is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and has been involved in all aspects
of the Construction Industry since 2008.
She joined Speedier Scaffolding Ltd in May 2017.
Service
We aim to provide the best possible service and advice
to our clients, carried out in a safe manner to enable
contractors to achieve programme targets and to complete
contracts within final budgets. We achieve this by
maintaining and developing our relationships with clients,
and assisting with the management of projects to ensure
a smooth progression through to completion. This includes
early advice and design at the tender stage, assisting
with and preparing scaffold schedules, and building to
a meaningful price to fit the construction process of the
building.
Speedier Scaffolding offers a complete scaffolding
service, including Contract, Labour only, and Hire and
Sales, on a national basis for all major contracts. Our
substantial stockholding of Traditional and System scaffolding
ensures that we can always fulfill our customers’ requirements
on time and at the right price. A high proportion
of our work is carried out using specialist system equipment
from suppliers such as Plettac, Layher and Van Thiel.
Our policy of careful expansion and our pro-active
management style enables us to carry out numerous major
projects across the UK, serviced from our depots at Westhoughton,
Liverpool, Manchester and Stoke. We have over 120 employees
who are trained to CITB. and CISRS. standards, and
skilled in all areas of scaffolding and on site safety. We
offer a 24 hour, 7 days a week service in order to meet our clients’ needs with directly employed, fully trained employees. |
